An aspect is a specific angular relationship between two points in a chart that creates a meaningful relationship. Western aspects: conjunction (0°), opposition (180°), trine (120°, harmonious), square (90°, frictive), sextile (60°, supportive), plus minor aspects. Vedic aspects (drishti): all planets aspect the 7th house from themselves; Mars also aspects 4th and 8th; Jupiter also aspects 5th and 9th; Saturn also aspects 3rd and 10th; Rahu/Ketu use special-aspect rules. The orb (tolerance angle) varies by aspect and tradition.
