We named the engine before we named the company. The engine is older.
Kaalveda is the multi-discipline divination platform built by Webliska.AI. It began as a numerology engine — Pythagorean, Chaldean, Lo-Shu — and grew into Vedic Kundli, Western natal, Chinese BaZi, and Tarot, on a single shared kernel. The name describes what the engine does. The mark describes the lineage.
The name
Kāla means time. Veda means knowledge. Both roots are load-bearing.
Time — but the older meaning.
Kāla is time itself, and also death, fate, and the wheel that turns them. Mahākāla — "great Time" — is one of Shiva's oldest epithets: the form that consumes everything yet is itself untouched by it. The tripundra worn on Shaiva foreheads is the explicit mark of devotion to that Lord of Time. When we use Kāla in the product, we mean the moment you were born, the cycles that follow, and the windows that open and close while you read this.
Knowledge — literally, to have seen.
The Vedas are the oldest layer of Indian thought. In them, calculation, ritual, astronomy, and metaphysics were a single discipline; there was no border between "what the planets are doing" and "what to do tonight." To combine Kāla with Veda is to claim a specific lineage: not measuring time the way a clock does, but reading it the way a tradition does.
The compound Kāla-Veda is not a coined marketing word; it follows the same grammar as Yoga-Veda, Āyur-Veda, Sthāpatya-Veda. Each is "the knowledge of X." We chose the spelling Kaalveda for the URL — one word, latinised — to make the name typeable in every keyboard layout on the planet without losing the Devanagari sense.
The mark
The icon fuses three Shaivite signs into one.
The tripundra is three horizontal lines of ash worn on the forehead by Shiva devotees — the explicit mark of devotion to the Lord of Time. The third eye is the eye opened in meditation; the sense that perceives beyond linear time, the way a chart compresses past and future into a single legible diagram. At the centre of the mark sits the bindu: the still point that does not move while time wheels around it.
The indigo of the strokes is #1A1B4B. The saffron of the bindu is #F59E0B. The split is load-bearing — the indigo is the night sky against which the chart is read; the saffron is the moment of recognition, the aha.
The company
Kaalveda is built by Webliska.AI.
Webliska.AI is a small product company that builds long-running consumer software. We started in 2019 building a numerology engine — Pythagorean, Chaldean, Lo-Shu — for users who wanted real calculation instead of generic horoscope copy. The first iteration was called Numerology Software; it shipped in six languages, ran Pythagorean and Chaldean side-by-side, and treated master numbers correctly.
Two things became obvious. First, the same audience was running their Numerology and asking us for Kundli, Kundli Matching, Personal Year forecasts, Tarot, Western charts. Second, every divination system we looked at was, at base, doing the same thing: reading a moment in time against a body of accumulated rules. The engines differed; the verb did not.
So we renamed the platform. The Numerology engine stayed, untouched. Around it we built — and are still building — Vedic Kundli with the Skyfield ephemeris, Kundli Matching, Mangal Dosha, Nadi Dosha, Sade Sati, Vimshottari Dasha, Solar Return, Daily Transits, Western Natal, Synastry, Tarot, BaZi, and Numero Vastu. Twenty-four calculators on the same account.
Posture
Math first. Poetry second. Never the reverse.
The calculators on Kaalveda compute first and explain afterwards. The Lagna degree is computed from JPL ephemeris data with Skyfield. The Numerology reduction is shown, not just stated. The Gun Milan score is broken down across all eight koots, including the Bhakoot correction the cheap sites skip. We treat the user as a senior practitioner who learned the math first and the poetry second — never the reverse.
What this means in practice:
- ·We italicise Sanskrit on first appearance, then drop the italics. We translate on first appearance. We do not use Sanskrit as a brochure adjective.
- ·We do not write sentences that could appear in a tarot Instagram ad. "Unlock your destiny" and "vibrate with cosmic alignment" trigger an automatic rewrite.
- ·We use exclamation marks at most once per page, only inside a quoted user line.
- ·We name the system whose math we are running: "In Pythagorean," "In Chaldean, the same name reads differently because…", "In Lahiri ayanamsa, Saturn sits in…". The system is the citation.
- ·We show the math when the reader wants to see it, and hide it when the reader does not.

Kaalveda computes charts, reports and calculators on one engine — and connects you with verified human astrologers for chat or call consultations, billed per session. Prefer a person to walk you through your chart? Browse our astrologer directory and book the time you need.
Not a daily-horoscope content site.
We compute your chart. Generic Sun-sign horoscopes have their place; that place is not here. Our daily features — Panchang, Choghadiya, Transits — are computed against the day, and on the Paid plan, against your chart.
Not a remedies marketplace.
We list the traditional remedies a chart's classical texts call for — fasts, mantras, gemstones, donations — as classical references. We do not sell the gemstones, run a puja-booking funnel, or take a cut of remedial purchases. The reports are the product; nothing else is for sale on this site.
Who builds it
A small team. Specific roles.
The page is about the engine, not the founders. Four roles, four sets of hands.
The kernel: Skyfield + JPL DE441 ephemeris sidecar, the Pythagorean and Chaldean numerology engines, the Vimshottari Dasha + Ashtakoot + Mangal Dosha logic, the BaZi sexagenary computation. Verified against published almanacs.
The content blocks behind each reading: 200+ per calculator per language, seven languages. English and Hindi are reviewed and pandit-grade before they ship. Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Malayalam are in beta — the full report renders in each; native-speaker sign-off is still in progress.
The 30–100-page typeset PDFs that are the product. Crimson Pro for prose. JetBrains Mono for figures. The PDFs are designed pages, not screenshots.
The infrastructure, the customer support, the math-correction inbox at [email protected]. If a customer's pandit gives a different number, that inbox is where the case lands and gets resolved on the record.
Where we are

Kaalveda is built and operated from India. The product is used by households in Indian metros and Tier 2/3 cities, by the Indian diaspora in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, the UAE, and Canada, and by Western chart-readers who came in through the Big Three finder and stayed for the synastry tool.
Hindi ships first-class alongside English on every calculator from day one. Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Malayalam are live on the flagship Janam Kundli report and currently in beta while native reviewers sign off. Numerology ships in English and Hindi only; Western Natal, Synastry, Tarot, and BaZi remain English-first, with Hindi where already supported.
The commitment
What we promise the math will do.
The math will match the Lahiri Ephemeris and Nautical Almanac — the reference Indian astrology uses — to within the printed almanac's own margin (a few seconds of arc). If it does not, we will find the bug and fix it. The math correction inbox at [email protected] exists for exactly this conversation. We will tell you what the source of the discrepancy is, even when the discrepancy turns out to be in the third-party source.
The Numerology engine will preserve master numbers (11, 22, 33) when the field is a Life Path or Expression or Birth Day. It will reduce when a year is requested. It will not arbitrarily reduce master numbers to be "more compatible" with marketing.
The PDF will arrive in the language you chose. It will be typeset, not screenshotted. It will be downloadable. The share-link will work for thirty days. The Paid tier removes the "Powered by Kaalveda" footer on Practitioner plans, never elsewhere — that footer carries the brand on free-tier shares, and we keep it there honestly.
