Mangal Dosha (also Manglik Dosha or Kuja Dosha) occurs when Mars is placed in the 1st, 2nd (some traditions), 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house from the lagna or the moon. Traditional interpretation: marriage may be delayed, contentious, or end in widowhood/divorce. Modern Vedic practice is more nuanced — many manglik placements are cancelled by counter-aspects, age (after 28), or matching with another manglik chart.
