Synastry

Synastry is the comparison of two natal charts — typically partners or close family members — to assess relational dynamics. The technique overlays one chart on the other, identifying inter-aspects: how Person A's Venus relates to Person B's Mars, how their Moons interact, how houses overlap. Synastry shows compatibility, friction points, and karmic ties. Composite charts (the mathematical midpoint chart) are a related technique showing the relationship as its own entity.
