A transit is the real-time motion of a planet against the fixed positions of your natal chart. Transits "activate" houses, signs, and natal planets as they pass — driving the timing of life events. Slow-moving outer transits (Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu) define multi-year chapters; faster transits (Mars, Venus, Mercury, Moon) shape weekly and monthly weather. Major transits — Saturn return at 29, Jupiter return at 12, mid-life Uranus opposition at 42 — are widely-recognized developmental milestones.
