Panchang

The Vedic five-fold almanac — tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga, karana for any given day.

Panchang (literally "five limbs") is the daily Vedic almanac with five components: Tithi (lunar day), Vara (weekday), Nakshatra (Moon's lunar mansion), Yoga (Sun-Moon angular combination, 27 types), and Karana (half-tithi, 11 types). It also notes the auspicious and inauspicious time windows of the day — sunrise, sunset, Rahu Kaal, Gulika, Yamaganda, Abhijit Muhurat, Brahma Muhurat. Used daily for muhurat selection and ritual timing.
